Midget Notebook Computers Questions
Midget, portable joystick/flight stick for notebook computers? I love Flight Simulator and have been using it since it was available for the Commodore 64. I now have a notebook computer with a dual core processor and 2 GB RAM that should be able to run Flight Simulator X, at least in the less-demanding modes. I have a Microsoft force-feedback USB stick that really works great, but it is practically bigger than the notebook! I have been searching the Internet for an hour trying to find a Midget portable joystick that I can use with the notebook, or at least something Midgeter than the full-sized Microsoft force feedback stick. Any gamers out there who have any suggestions? I find it difficult to run the simulator with the keyboard only.

Thanks in advance.
Can I put Microsoft Office Midget Business 2003 on an additional computer? I have a Dell Home Computer with Microsoft Office Midget Business Edition 2003 on it. I now plan to buy a new notebook computer. The new computer comes with a 3-month subscription to Microsoft Office 2007, and then I would have to buy it. Since I already own the 2003 edition (and it's the same as what I use at work and home), can I load the 2003 edition onto my laptop, or can you only load the 2003 edition onto one computer?

A powerful netbook...or Midget notebook or something else ? ? Plz help? I am a computer science student and need a laptop which is light, portable nd easy to carry around. I need good processing power along with light weight.. My usage includes all the programming stuff, working with a lot of softwares, and casual gaming. I will need atleast two OS working on my machine. Is there a reasonably powerful but light laptop at around Rs 50k-55k ...ie. $1100 at max? Since i will have to carry around my laptop a lot, i want it light nd Midget without sacrificing on its processing power. If it is not possible at my budget....then is getting some ultralight mini laptops or powerful netbook a good idea ? It will be down on power but will it be sufficient for my programming and academic needs , running multiple OS nd playing some light games like counter strike, need for speed underground etc ? Hey...nd connectivity to me is equally important. So plz suggest me some good notebooks according to my need... Is there something better coming soon ? I can wait for 4 months at max.

I prefer those little USB thingoes.. I know that notebook mice are very Midget compared to ordinary desktop ones, but I would really prefer one of a normal size Without the huge reciever. Are their any models out there like that? something i DOnt mind having is the Ergonomic design. but it is not essential. What do you think about the Dell XPS M1330 notebook? If you own this computer or know someone who does... or, if you happen to be someone who knows about laptops in general, would you say that the Dell XPS M1330 notebook is a good laptop? I'm looking at the 13.3" hi-def widescreen... is that screen a decent size? Not to Midget? I'm trying to decide on which notebook to get (DELL) and want to get a real good one that will be dependable and long-term. Any info on this laptop specifically will be helpful. Thanks in advance ~
User Friendly Linux for VERY old notebook? I have an old Dell™ Latitude™ CP notebook computer with an Intel Pentium microprocessor at 23 MHz and 96MB RAM. I am looking for a stable Linux distro with an easy to use graphical UI. It will be used by my little sister for mainly basic word processing, and light image viewing, and maybe music and Midget games. It will never be able to be connected to the internet. Do you have any advice of what distribution of Linux I should get for this? The User interface NEEDS to be easy for an unexperienced Windoes user. DSL is great (I've tried it), but it isn't for novices. The User interface NEEDS to be easy for an unexperienced Windows user. DSL is great (I've tried it), but it isn't for novices.
does anyone out there have the Acer Aspire One notebook computer? If you have it, how is it? At WalMart they have it for about $300. I am wondering if it''s worth it. I know it's too Midget to have a cd/dvd drive, but i am still thinking of getting one, IF it's a good little pc and it's worth it. of course, i can always buy an external cd/dvd burner for it. Or buy the little adapter to use the current cd/dvd burner i have in my desktop.
Yahoo game board too Midget, how do I enlarge? In Yahoo games, the word games anyway, there are some boards that stay Midget when opened. I can see them fine on my desktop computer, but on my notebook computer, the boards are so Midget and letters so Midget, it makes playing difficult. I have gone to the tools, general -- accessability location to state ignore font size. This did not help. Does anyone else know of a way to tell my browser to ignore the website's directives for size?
Teeny Tiny PC? I wonder what is the Midgetest computer out there that is NOT a PDA or palm or whatever. A real PC with real screen, etc, a mini-notebook computer. I would like one about the same size as a hand held portable DVD player, is there such a thing? Costs? Accessories? Costs of accessories? Disadvantages? I suppose ONE is that you can't type on it very easily. But you could surf. And it would be portable, kind of like an IPOD DVD PC all in one. Wow, thanks for your input guys! I apologize, I should have mentioned before, there is definitely a budget consideration. 200-300 dollars? Multimedia capabilities...so a disc drive that plays cd's and dvds and a big hard drive to play games on...and good battery life. I looked into some handhelds, one at Amazon is called Pepper something, would have been exactly what I wanted including cost, but didn't know about the OS and it didn't get good reviews for durability. I do appreciate the support and info so far, please if you have any other suggestions, let me know!
what notebook computer is for me? i need it to be reliable... obviously & wont be breaking all the time im a student so i would like it to be Midget and have a long battery life also a cd drive for dvd and music burning and playing and a large memory for my songs, games, notes ect. any ideas what would be best for me? i was thinking of possibly a mac, is this a good idea? maybe one of the Mac OS X Leopard?

Will this laptop/notebook work for me? http://www.hhgregg.com/ProductDetail.asp?SID=n&ProductID=22548 I pretty much just surf online, check email, shop, and youtube, but I do have alot of music in itunes. Will this Midget computer be what I need? Anyone know about Acer or use a little notebook like this? Are there enough mgb for what I need to do.
Does desktop computers actually cost more than laptop? Desktops like Workstation, it is huge and when you do not want it anymore it is hard to give it to trash, you have to pay money for trash, on the other hand notebooks, it is Midget so, you dont need to pay for the trash.

Can a spilled soda on a laptop computer ruin the machine? Two days ago, I spilled a Midget amount of soda on my notebook computer. At first, the only problem was some letters and numbers sticking and repeating. Now, that has gone away after using an airduster with straw, but the performance seems to have really slowed. Should I take it in for repair?
Does every notebook computer have a lock slot? I have a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5067 notebook computer and it's 12 inches so it's pretty Midget and light. I invested in a notebook computer lock with combination where I'm supposed to insert it into a lock slot. And I think it's there but I'm not sure since the lock wouldn't go in. I have other 2 notebooks at home which are broken and they have similar looking slots as well but I had to force them in and when I tried taking them out, I had difficulty and it left marks in the slots. Is there a problem with the lock itself? Or does some notebook not have the slots? I'm assuming this is the slot on my computer but I just want to make sure: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y60/nekodesu/slot.jpg

I need help in choosing a laptop or notebook computer, or possibly a personal or tablet computer.? I want to be able to work while sitting in bed, or curled up on the couch (I don't travel, so that's not a factor), which means a computer I can literally hold in my lap (is that possible?). This also means that the screen should be sufficiently well-balanced that it doesn't slide around too much in this position. (One big worry is it may get too hot to hold in my lap; I'll probably be using it for 3-4 hours at a time. Anyone have experience with this?) I want to be able to surf the Net, and read & and do light editing/typing on Word documents. So the keyboard shouldn't be too Midget, but it doesn't have to be full-sized either. Ideally, I'd also listen to music & watch DVDs. Can you suggest: (1) a laptop or notebook that would be the best compromise for size & comfort, and (2) a personal or tablet PC (I don't know the difference!) that would let me use the Internet, and do reading & editing, even if it wouldn't allow me to watch movies (or would it?). Or is there any other option
Ultra Portable Notebooks? I'm going to be backpacking around the world this next year, and I need a Midget, versatile notebook computer to take with me. I have seen the HP mini-note and it seems underpowered. I have also seen the asus linux machine. Both seem OKAY, but are there any other alternatives out right now? Or that will be released before this August? I fly out to Germany august 30th, so I have some time still, but I'd like to start looking into it ASAP
is there an ipod with a trumpet? i wanna buy a hardware device to play audio files. it should be portable, much Midgeter than a notebook computer. size of a language repeater or less is ok. a trumpet is required. you know, after a long time you will feel painful at ears if you use a mic. what device can satisfy my requirement? with an integrated trumpet. with an inbuilt trumpet. maybe a loudhailer, an amplifier.
Reccomended notebooks, laptop computers? I am looking at notebooks and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to which ones would wokrk best for me. I need: -3G of memory -160G of hard drive It doesn't neccesarily need to be Midget or lightweight because it most likely won't be anywhere except my house. Also, I don't want to spend too much money.. Any suggestions?
Multiple Monitor Problem? I have a Fujitsu Stylistic notebook computer, and the screen is fairly Midget....so I also have a larger monitor which I would like to use as the primary. I have the two computers hooked together....how do I get the picture on my Midgeter computer onto the larger monitor? I want the same picture on BOTH monitors. I have tried going into "Properties/Settings" on the Fujitsu monitor and don't seem to be able to use that....maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thanks SO MUCH for your help!!!
What is a good laptop / notebook to buy? I need a laptop / notebook. I don't like desktops since they aren't portable, and I need a portable one, and laptops are Midgeter. Some things that I want: Not too expensive (max $1500) Some basic video editing capibilties A lot of memory Can be used for gaming (strong enough to support games like Maple Story and stuff), doesn't have to be a gaming computer though. Sturdy thanks :)
Notebook Memory !!!? I just purchased a Dell Inspiron E1405 notebook computer. It supposedly has 60 GB of Hard Disk memory, but whenever I install a new program (that the add/remove menu displays as taking up less than 100 MB of memory) or save a Midget file, I check the hard disk memory and it reduces over 1 GB !!!!! What could be the reason for such a significant decrease in the memory, and how would I resolve the problem??
I Have An Asus Eee PC/Notebook and am looking for Word-like software for writing documents, notes, etc.? Basically I have an Eee PC with I have tried putting Windows Word onto but due to limited hard drive on the Notebook I was unable to get it to install. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any word-like software which I can install for free and won't take up much room on my hard drive (due to limited space on such a Midget computer). My Asus Eee PC runs with Windows XP so any software suggestions/links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
