I want to buy a decent, Midget laptop. What do you recommend?
I want a laptop that is truly portable (not like the 17.5" Vaio beast I am using) but one that doesn't compromise on features (e.g. Wifi and DVD-RW), power, battery life and build quality. What do you recommend? My budget is £300-£400 - but willing to pay more if required. Thanks! Pilgrim_conrad_3: Do you work for Argos? Or is that where you bought your laptop? Go figures I guess...

- If you have the Acer brand where you are, I would recommend that you get that ... top quality components at a fraction of the price because the company is just up and coming ... but trust me, it can definitely compete with the big guns. Hope this helps.
- Acers are always good..reliable for everything! & v.cheap too. You can get one for around £400..
- A Macbook or the Dell XPS M1330. Both 13inchers.
- Check this one out. Can't go wrong with an HP ... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147674
- Tablet PC...Touch screen
- speak and spell abouth 30 pound in argos
- If you have an Aldi store nearby, look into their in-store Medion brand of laptop PCs. Very low-cost for the specs and quality. ComputerGeek67: Acer is actually not up and coming; they're one of the oldest manufacturers of the modern PC, being around almost ten years longer than Dell and Gateway.
- either a dell..or a HP..mayb even an Iphone
- The new imac. It fits in an envelope. I've always had macs and the only problem is that not enough people have them so its hard getting games for it BUT you don't need to worry about viruses, downloading, etc. and everything you need from a basic computer is already there at no extra cost
