Can you bring a Midget notepad with addresses in it to Navy Bootcamp?

I leave for boot camp sept 4th and i was just wondering if you can bring a Midget notepad or notebook that has addresses in it so i can write them.

  3. It has been twenty years since I went to Navy boot camp, but I believe that you can have an address list. They do allow "boots" to write home while in training. The Navy wants the recruits to stay in contact with their friends and family.
  4. Yes,it is always best for people to write home and the Navy knows that.It helps to let your loved ones know that you are OK. You will have plenty of opportunity to pick up writing material.
  5. the US military is huge on family friends and support. in army basic we were allowed to have an address book. stationary, envelopes, stamps, colored pens... all that stuff for writing home. also - we were allowed to keep three pictures that we brought with us and hang them in our wall locker. and we could keep pix that were mailed to us. i'm sure that they navy will allow just as much support from home.
